Stefan Milkov – sculptor, designer, musician – member of the art group Tvrdohlaví in 1987-91.
A few years ago, we met with the sculptor Mr. Milkov about his vision of how to speed up the creation of large-scale sculptures using modern 3D technologies. In the pilot project, we tread carefully around each other, trying to connect art and the capabilities of our 3D scanners. Together, over time, we created an ingenious way to realize large sculptures for galleries and exhibitions from small models. From the beginning, great emphasis was placed on speeding up the implementation while maintaining the exact proportions of the created sculptures. The scanned data is used not only for the actual production of enlargements, but also as the basis of virtual 3D models for visualization and simulation of the placement of sculptures in space. It is another great proof of how versatile our 3D sensors are and that the use of modern technologies is not limited only to industrial use.
