Scanning of vanes and castings

MetraSCAN 3D easily finds its place even when scanning component castings and final machined parts. Parts can be scanned without any surface treatment and inspection reports can be obtained in no time.

Scans of castings can also be used for subsequent machining (the scan of the casting is loaded as a semi-finished part into the CAM), and thus we achieve great time savings. It is not necessary for the tool to slowly approach the workpiece from a safe distance due to ignorance of the real shape of the casting. Thanks to the loading of the real shape of the workpiece, the machine can immediately start processing the full material, and for large parts, these time savings are very significant.
